Study With the Best!
Silver Express uses course materials from both Jeppesen/Sanderson and
ASA for all
students. Jeppesen/Sanderson is the nation's top publisher of 
pilot training books and supplies. Both are based on the building block principle of learning,
where the course is broken down into segments and each lesson segment builds upon the last.
The newest addition to our course material is the
Sporty's DVD multi media
program. It is a fully integrated, self paced ground school course that
can be watched on either a computer or TV.
For example, a student first learns the four forces of flight. Building upon this knowledge, the student can then learn flying skills such as stalls, slow flight using flaps, and so on. When this is mastered, the student moves on to more advanced skills - smooth landings under various conditions, airport maneuvers, night flying and navigation.
Either course is self-paced. This allows the student to master a particular skill before moving on to the next since there is no prescribed time limit for doing so. So, whether you want to finish your training in a few months, or stretch it out over two years, the courses are designed with flexibility in mind.
The Jeppesen/Sanderson student pilot kit includes everything a
new pilot needs to make the most of his or her training.
Included is a basic textbook, flight maneuvers manual, practice exams,
exam study guides, practice navigational charts, a flight
computer, a navigation computer and more! This program is based on
a combination of home study, reinforced by the video tape course
provided at Silver Express. In addition, Silver Express provides a wide
variety of supplementary material to enhance the learning process. Some
